Reappointments for KGC and Transpower Boards
Directors Whaimutu Dewes and Owen Coppage have been reappointed to the Transpower Board until 2029, ensuring governance continuity as the national grid operator embarks on a transformative $13 billion investment programme over the next decade, State Owned Enterprises Minister Simeon Brown says.
“Whaimutu Dewes brings strong governance expertise, risk management, and a focus on health and safety, alongside effective stakeholder relationship skills to help navigate energy sector challenges and uphold public trust,” Mr Brown says.
“Owen Coppage has expertise in energy utilities, technology, digital transformation, and IT project oversight which will help keep Transpower at the forefront of energy advancements.
Mr Brown also announced the reappointment of Rukumoana Schaafhausen as a director of Kiwi Group Capital, Kiwibank’s holding company.
“Rukumoana Schaafhausen has extensive experience in commercial and Crown governance, as well as a deep understanding of the banking sector.Her strong grasp of stakeholder issues and her established networks make her a valuable asset to the Board.”
