\u653f\u5e9c\u5c06\u4ece\u201c\u533a\u57df\u57fa\u7840\u8bbe\u65bd\u57fa\u91d1\uff08RIF\uff09\u201d\u4e2d\u6295\u8d44\u6700\u9ad8860\u4e07\u7ebd\u5e01\uff0c\u7531 Ng\u0101ti Te Whiti \u90e8\u65cf\u5728 Moturoa\u3001\u9760\u8fd1\u6d77\u6ee8\u4e0e\u516c\u5171\u6d77\u5cb8\u6b65\u9053\u7684\u5730\u533a\u5efa\u7acb Ng\u0101motu Marae\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u8fd9\u4e00\u53d1\u5c55\u5c06\u4e3a Ng\u0101ti Te Whiti \u63d0\u4f9b\u5728\u5176\u672c\u571f\u5730\u533a\u957f\u671f\u7f3a\u5931\u7684\u5bb6\u56ed\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u4e5f\u5411\u66f4\u5e7f\u6cdb\u793e\u533a\u5f00\u653e\uff0c\u7528\u4e8e\u4f1a\u8bae\u3001\u6d3b\u52a8\u3001\u6559\u80b2\u4ee5\u53ca\u7d27\u6025\u60c5\u51b5\u4e0b\u7684\u652f\u6301\uff0c\u201dJones \u8bf4\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u8be5\u9879\u76ee\u7531 Ng\u0101ti Te Whiti Whenua T\u014dpu Trust \u8d1f\u8d23\u5b9e\u65bd\u3002\u603b\u6210\u672c\u4e3a1780\u4e07\u7ebd\u5e01\uff0c\u5176\u4e2d\u90e8\u5206\u8d44\u91d1\u6765\u81ea Ng\u0101ti Te Whiti \u90e8\u65cf\u3001\u5730\u65b9\u653f\u5e9c\u3001Toi Foundation \u4ee5\u53ca\u793e\u533a\u5171\u540c\u51fa\u8d44\u3002\u65bd\u5de5\u9636\u6bb5\u9884\u8ba1\u53ef\u521b\u9020\u7ea646\u4e2a\u5c31\u4e1a\u5c97\u4f4d\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u4ece\u957f\u671f\u6765\u770b\uff0c\u8be5\u6bdb\u5229\u4f1a\u5802\u9884\u8ba1\u5c06\u4fc3\u8fdb\u6587\u5316\u65c5\u6e38\u3001\u672c\u5730\u4f01\u4e1a\u53d1\u5c55\u4ee5\u53ca\u793e\u533a\u4e3b\u5bfc\u7684\u53d1\u5c55\u9879\u76ee\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n

A new marae in central New Plymouth will put culture, resilience and community at the heart of the city, Regional Development Minister Shane Jones and M\u0101ori Development Minister Tama Potaka say.<\/p>\n

The Government is investing up to $8.6 million from the Regional Infrastructure Fund (RIF) for Ngati Te Whiti to establish Ng\u0101motu Marae in Moturoa near the waterfront and public coastal walkway.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe development will give Ng\u0101ti Te Whiti a long overdue home in their own rohe, while opening the doors to the wider community for hui, events, education and support during emergencies,\u201d Mr Jones says.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor more than 150 years, Ng\u0101ti Te Whiti, the mana whenua of New Plymouth, have not had a marae in the city. This investment restores a critical anchor that is accessible and firmly part of the city\u2019s future,\u201d Mr Jones says.<\/p>\n

\u201cA visible and active marae in the city next to the popular waterfront walkway will create cultural, social and economic energy that ripples through the community,\u201d Mr Potaka says.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not just for Ng\u0101ti Te Whiti, it is for New Plymouth. Marae are where people gather, decisions are made, and culture and community life are lived every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

The marae will double as a lifeline during emergencies, with a wharekai able to provide food, shelter and essential services.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn an emergency, marae provide practical support to their communities. This facility will be ready to provide shelter, support and stability when New Plymouth needs it most,\u201d Mr Potaka says.<\/p>\n

This project includes building a wharenui and wharekai, along with community, meeting and administration spaces, civil works such as power, water, access and earthworks, and full site development including landscaping and parking.<\/p>\n

The project is being delivered by Ng\u0101ti Te Whiti Whenua T\u014dpu Trust. The total cost is $17.8 million, with co-funding from Ng\u0101ti Te Whiti hap\u016b, local government, the Toi Foundation, and the community. It will support around 46 jobs during construction.<\/p>\n
